The Southwestern Geographer is a peer-reviewed journal, published annually by the Southwest Division of the Association of American Geographers (SWAAG). The journal welcomes research papers on any topic written by geographers who reside in the states that comprise SWAAG (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas), as well as research papers by scholars residing elsewhere on any topic that pertains to the geography of the southwestern United States or northern Mexico.

Guidelines for Authors

Subscription rates are $15 per year (one issue) for institutions, $7 per year for individuals, and $5 per year for students and are included in SWAAG membership fees. Payment may be made by check or money order, and should be made payable to SWAAG. New orders, renewals, inquiries, and all other correspondence should be addressed to the editor.
