Having retired from coaching my kids' sports teams, I now have time to do other things like working in the yard and growing tomatoes.
I am an avid reader of science fiction in the Star Wars and Star Trek
universes. I also like Stephen King, Michael Crichton,
and Tom Clancy novels, and am a major fan of J.R.R. Tolkien.
I also have a strange fixation on the life and times of Laura Ingalls Wilder.
My only other hobby is music, which I can only partake of in the car between errands. My favorites are the Kinks, Pink Floyd and Roger Waters,
Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, the Eagles, the Police, and 10,000 Maniacs. However, of late I have been listening
only to the Electric Amish, a rockin' band from Nappanee, Indiana. The band was formed when Graeber,
Carl, and Barry Goodman (no relation) got together at a barn raising and jammed ... the rest is history.
Where evolution meets the pavement -- The Darwin Awards web page is a must
read if you like reading about idiots who manage to get themselves killed. My favorite slogan: Chlorine for the gene pool.
